Since 1962, RC&D Councils have worked to empower local citizens to develop and carry out an action-oriented plan for the social, economic, and environmental enrichment of their communities.

Each year the Alabama Association of RC&D Councils provides funding for projects all across the state of Alabama to help our state be a better place to live, work and play!

2026 ASAN Food & Farm Forum

The Food and Farm Forum is where Alabama’s sustainable food community comes together to grow, learn, and support each other. This two-and-a-half-day conference is a dynamic, hands-on event featuring workshops, panels, farm tours, and discussions on topics such as sustainable agriculture practices, food access, farm business management, soil health, policy advocacy, and much more.

Stop the Bleed Training – UWA Nursing

Stop the Bleed II aims to educate rural Alabama communities about the Stop the Bleed initiative by providing free, hands-on training and certification in bleeding control techniques and providing them with a personal Stop the Bleed station. Any school, office, community center, place of worship, or industry in a rural area may schedule or attend training.
